Equipment and Facilities in Saginaw
With two major operations
located in Saginaw County, Delphi is the area’s largest employer. As a
world leader in mobile electronics, transportation components and
systems technology, Delphi
continues to invest in its facilities, technology and equipment to meet
future customer needs.
During 2003, Delphi Steering in
Buena Vista Charter Township invested $29.5 million in various
electronic power steering, half shaft technology and steering column
test equipment.
Delphi’s Energy & Chassis plant in Saginaw also made a major commitment
to its future in Saginaw with a projected investment of more than $60
million in new equipment, technology and facility improvements over the
next five years.
Saginaw Future worked with the
city of Saginaw and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to
help secure a Brownfield Single Business Tax credit to support the new
development at the Energy & Chassis plant.
