JoAnn
T. Crary, CEcD President of Saginaw Future Inc. To Sit on the Board for a
Two-Year Term
The
Nominating Committee of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC)
has unanimously elected JoAnn T. Crary, CEcD, President of Saginaw,
Michigan-based Saginaw Future Inc., to its Board of Directors. The election
took place during IEDC's 2006 Annual Conference, which was held September
17-20, 2006 in New York City, where over 1,500 registrants participated in
the successful three-day networking and learning opportunity. Ms. Crary will
serve a two-year term on the board along with six other newly elected
members.
"The International Economic Development
Council is the world's leading economic development organization for
professionals working in the economic development arena," said board chair
Joseph Marinucci, FM. "It is both an honor and a pleasure to serve on this
board, and I look forward to working with Ms. Crary and the other members to
provide leadership to IEDC as the organization continues to fulfill its goal
of delivering quality information, education, and outstanding development
opportunities to its members."
Ms. Crary
has been President of Saginaw Future, a non-profit, economic development
organization for Saginaw County since 1993. She is on the Michigan Economic
Development Corporation Executive Committee, its Finance Committee and is on
the CEO Advisory Council. She is also a member of the Saginaw County
Revolving Loan Fund Board, the Saginaw Riverfront Development Commission,
Saginaw Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Saginaw Community Foundation
Board and is an ex-officio board member of the Saginaw County Chamber of
Commerce. She sits on the Board of a variety of other organizations and is a
member of several groups including the Michigan Economic Developers
Association, CoreNet Global, the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce and the
Saginaw Valley Manufacturers Association.
The
International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is headquartered in
Washington, DC. Its mission is to provide leadership and excellence in
economic development for communities, members and partners.
