MIDLAND,
MICH (October 31, 2007) —
The Dow Chemical Company announced today that
it is moving approximately 175 employees and third-party supplier
employees from Midland, Southfield, and other areas to new offices in
the Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw Township. The move, expected
to be completed in December, furthers Dow’s commitment to invest in the
Tri-Cities.
The Horizons Conference Center, located at
6200 State Street, was selected because of its size, availability and
layout. The new office arrangement will bring economic benefits not only
to the center, but to surrounding businesses.
The move will bring together team members
from various functions, plus third-party suppliers – all working on
common projects. “Co-locating team members from Finance, Purchasing,
Manufacturing, Information Systems and other areas will allow them to
actively work together and make faster, more effective decisions,” said
Doug Snoddy, senior director, Information Systems.
