Saginaw Future Inc. Receives Partner Award

Saginaw Future Inc. recently
was selected as one of Saginaw Midland Bay Michigan Works! Partners of the
Year for 2007. Bay Future, Inc. and Midland Tomorrow were also honored.
The economic development
organizations were praised for outstanding service to the region. The
organizations recently worked on and continue to assist in the development
of several major economic development projects. Michigan Works! noted the
Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation expansion, proposed power plants in both
Bay and Midland Counties and GM's investment in Saginaw Metal Casting
Operations.
"As exemplified by their
leadership role in Vision Tri-County, a regional betterment group, the
organizations look beyond county boundaries and work closely with each other
on initiatives to benefit the entire region," said Ed Oberski, director of
Saginaw Midland Bay Michigan Works!.
Bay Future, Midland Tomorrow
and Saginaw Future work very closely with Michigan Works! The organizations
collaborate through the sharing of relevant information, making joint visits
to support area businesses and assisting Michigan Works! in providing local
companies with job training funds.

of the Year are MiTech+, Saginaw County Business Education Partnership and
the Department of Labor & Economic Growth Veterans Services.
