National Career Readiness
Certificate
The mismatch between the skills
required for most jobs and skills of the U.S. workforce is having
a significant impact on productivity and revenue across all
businesses and industries. Workers may have traditional
educational credentials, like a high school diploma or college
degree, but they are only part of the picture and may not give a
clear indication of workers' job skills.
In response, a new credential to
certify worker skills has been developed. This portable
credential verifies to employers anywhere in the U.S. that an
individual has essential core employability skills in Reading for
Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information.

Workforce Resource Team

Business and Education Partnership and local training providers.
The purpose of the Workforce Resource
Team is to support the immediate and long-term recruitment, training,
and retention needs of current and future employers in the Saginaw
Valley, focusing on manufacturing, medical, and high tech industry
sectors.
This page offers easy access to
current training opportunities by providing a crucial link between
business and education to help ensure that our workforce is prepared
to meet the growing need for skilled workers by our prospering
