2016 was a very important year for economic development in Saginaw County. Since 1992, Saginaw Future has partnered with business, labor, education and government to improve the local and regional economy, and lead efforts to help our companies grow and to attract new investment.

In his current role, he leads a highly skilled team of over 13,000 people and oversees 22 manufacturing facilities, five technical centers and 11 customer service centers across the globe in 11 countries. He is also a member of Nexteer’s Global Strategic Council.
Hemlock Semiconductor, one of the world’s leading producers of polycrystalline silicon, invested more than $2 billion that created hundreds of jobs.
Zehnder’s Splash Village Hotel & Water Park is a family entertainment and lodging facility that includes 63 hotel suites, an arcade, restaurant, gift shop and a 30,000 sq. ft. indoor water park. Nearly $14 million investment!
Established in 1863, Morley Companies, Inc. continues to expand its data collection and research services, along with customer technical and support services for Fortune 100 clients. For the past 40 years, the company also has provided group travel, displays and performance services to a diverse group of clients.
Central Michigan University’s (CMU) College of Medicine recently lauched its City of Saginaw campus. CMU students will complete their clinical education in Saginaw during their third and fourth years of study.
Nexteer Automotive, Saginaw County's largest employer and manufacturer, invested $135 million and created 400 jobs.
Downtown and Oldtown Saginaw have had numerous project over the past 25 years, but 2015 and 2016 really took off with 14 new projects that range from start-ups to major corporate investment.
